Christian Mind is a Biblical requirement.  As Christian professionals, what we believe and trust shapes our world view in our area of profession. There is a complete difference between the way Christians and non-Christians view their professional world. Every action that we take can be interpreted from the spiritual worldview. Christian mind with a map of reality is that really works in our area of work. Paul reminds us … no one will deceive you with well crafted arguments…. Don’t let any one capture you with high sounding nonsense that comes from human thinking… (Col. 2: 2-8). Further Paul states, Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think (Romans 12:2). Jesus himself commanded us ‘loving God with all your …mind’ (Matthew 22:36–38)

But as a thinking being modern Christians have succumbed to secularism, accepting a frame of reference constructed by a secular mind and set of criteria reflecting secular evaluations. As Christian M&E staff we are called to redeem minds and cultures and not just salvation of individual souls. We need to apply Biblical world view grid to cut through the bewildering maze of ideas and ideologies we encounter in post modern world. So Christian mind in Monitoring and Evaluation is no longer an option, but it is necessary survival equipment in this secular world.
